The fastest legal path to an Ontario real estate license is about 6 months. There is no official "accelerated" program — speed comes from how you sequence the steps and avoid the common time-killers.
Start with the self-paced Humber program (not instructor-led). Self-paced lets you move at your own speed without waiting for cohort milestones. Most full-time students complete each of Courses 1-4 in 3-5 weeks of intense study. Simulations 1 and 2 each take 1-2 weeks.
Study 30+ hours per week. At that pace you finish Courses 1-4 in roughly 16-20 weeks, both Simulations in 3-4 weeks, and Course 5 in 2-3 weeks. That's 21-27 weeks of study — a 6-month window if you don't stop.
Pass every exam on the first try. Each failure adds 30-60 days of mandatory waiting plus rewrite scheduling. The students who hit 6 months use exam-format practice (ExamAce or similar) throughout each course rather than only in the final week — first-attempt pass rates climb significantly when you drill 200+ exam questions per course.
Line up your brokerage during Course 5. RECO registration takes 1-3 weeks once your application is complete, and brokerage sponsorship is the longest part. Identify 2-3 brokerages, interview during Course 5, and have a sponsorship offer ready when you finish Course 5.
