How do I register with RECO after passing Humber?

Complete the RECO MyWeb application, secure a brokerage sponsor, submit a vulnerable-sector check, and pay the $590 registration fee. Approval takes 1-3 weeks.

After completing the Humber salesperson program, you register with RECO through the MyWeb portal at reco.on.ca. Eligibility expires 12 months after Course 5 completion, so register promptly.

The first step is securing a brokerage sponsor. RECO does not register independent salespersons — every active registration must be tied to an existing brokerage. Most students interview 2-4 brokerages during Course 5 and have a sponsorship offer in hand before applying.

The MyWeb application requires: proof of Humber program completion (Humber transmits this directly to RECO), a vulnerable-sector criminal record check (obtained from your local police service, valid for 6 months), brokerage sponsorship details, and a $590 registration fee. Some applicants also need to provide a Statutory Declaration if they answer "yes" to certain background questions.

Approval typically takes 1-3 weeks once the application is complete. RECO reviews each application and contacts you only if information is missing or a background concern surfaces. You receive your registration certificate by email and become officially active on the date RECO posts approval.

After registration, you must complete RECO's mandatory continuing education within your first year (24 hours every 2 years). Your brokerage typically tracks compliance.
